Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Specialist Interest Group

The purpose of the UXO SIG is to strengthen the UXO industry and provide a forum to address the unique needs and aims of the industry nationally and internationally for the benefit of the community of practice. This will be done through:

Advocating for approaches that align with better practices, promoting safety and quality in the industry;
Establishing UXO Industry safety, quality, and training standards;
Establishing UXO Industry accreditation for companies and individual;
Promotion and education of the role, scope, and importance of UXO services by connecting with other stakeholders by providing expertise and learning from individuals, associations, government, and other SIGs;
Represent the UXO industry to influence and further develop government policy;
Sharing of information to promote UXO Industry better practices; and
Facilitating UXO Industry networking, engagement, and increased communication.
