As the first year of this process ALGA brought together government and industry to share and shape requirements in making the contaminated land and groundwater industry more successful and sustainable.
ALGA’s inaugural Australian Regulator Forum was a perfect opportunity to collect key themes and ideas shared across all levels of government and the wider contaminated land and groundwater industry. Themes were designed to bring as many challenges and opportunities as possible to light, and use them as drivers for discussion, evaluation and ideas for change.
In a collaborative forum and an open facilitated dialog, members of the industry discussed the Strengths, Challenges, Opportunities and Threats (SCOT) being faced by all parties and at the end of the open session two questions helped us gather the attendees’ thoughts through word clouds.
Question 1. What do you see is the most important national priority for wider industry to work on, to improve Australia’s environmental outcomes?
Question 2. What do you see is the greatest impediment to this occurring?
The findings will be shared with participants and ALGA members in the months to come as we use the input to help focus the important collaborative agenda of industry improvement.
