What would good look like? Learning to love quality assurance and quality control in site contamination investigations.
Conducting a robust investigation is a lot more than collecting a couple of duplicate samples and doing a hotspot calculation. As Dave will argue, treating your QAQC as tick-box exercises is the last thing you’d want to do. QAQC should develop naturally from the conceptual site model, and accordingly it should never be a chore or an option.
Once you have your data, what can you infer from it and what can you not? Peter will discuss the pitfalls of data interpretation, robust geostatistical analysis principles and how utilizing this knowledge can inform investigation planning and save you from future headaches.
