Environmental and Cultural Issues: What’s Helpful for Contaminated Sites

This forum will present insights into the natural and anthropogenic contributions of contaminants into the waters of Canterbury. Two presentations will discuss the sources and mechanisms of arsenic (natural and anthropogenic) in groundwater and the effects of the Port Hills Forest fires on urban water quality. The third presentation will be on the Maori perspectives on environmental management.

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. Drinks and nibbles will be served on arrival.
