Non-Aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) come in different forms, sometimes unseen, almost always problematic. Join us for three excellent presentations on different NAPL plume types, in different settings. All with the common theme that we must truly understand our Conceptual Site Models in order to fully appreciate risk and make sensible, informed decisions.
George Hampton from SLR will talk about the 25th anniversary of a major remediation project (on behalf of Anna Lukey from SLR). This project involved an LNAPL hydraulic containment system focused source area excavation and a landfarm.
Martin Robertson of Z Energy will speak about the behaviour of dense non aqueous phase liquids with reference to NZ’s most spectacular DNAPL project.
Erin Richards will facilitate a short interactive workshop and quiz exploring NAPL behaviours.
