The engineering and environmental consulting sector has undergone significant change over the past decade. Mergers, acquisitions and shifting market dynamics have enabled smaller consultancies to expand their presence, while the retirement of highly experienced practitioners has contributed to a loss of institutional knowledge. At the same time, expectations around continual professional development have increased, with government authorities more frequently requiring sign‑off by appropriately accredited professionals. This trend is exemplified by the NSW EPA Acid Sulfate Soil General Order and Exemption (2025), which now mandates that compliance reports be prepared and certified by an accredited person.
In this webinar, our speaker will explore:
Examples will be provided to illustrate how accreditation frameworks can be applied in practice and the benefits of adopting structured, competency‑based professional development.
This webinar will be particularly valuable for consultants, regulators, local government officers, early‑career practitioners and anyone seeking to strengthen their professional credentials or explore new pathways for career development. A live question‑and‑answer session will follow the presentation, and the webinar will be recorded.
