This event will focus on hearing from local council officers and government around how they deal with legacy contamination issues left for them to resolve, such as Landfills.

Often, these assets require complex navigation, dealing with the public, guidance that may not fit the intent and regulatory obligations, often with multiple regulators and stakeholders requiring input. Typically, these are ongoing issues that require managing, with guidance and legislation changing over time, with typical financial constraints and risk management to consider.

These types of challenges, however, can lead to innovative solutions for resolving which we will hear about from our speakers during this event, in how these speakers have been involved with different ways to tackle these hurdles.
