The newly released AS5370:2024 standard for Sampling and Qualitative Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Materials introduces several requirements that may not align with regulatory frameworks for asbestos analysis. For example, the standard specifies that laboratories must not report asbestos results below the laboratory limit of reporting, which could lead to challenges in data interpretation and potential non-compliance with regulatory requirements.
This webinar will provide participants with a comprehensive walkthrough of the standard, covering key aspects such as laboratory methodology and its adoption by practitioners. Expert speakers will discuss what AS5370 can and cannot achieve under NATA accreditation and will share laboratory and consultant perspectives on its limitations and implications for data interpretation in industry and consultancy settings.
