Melbourne Branch Event – ALGA VIC International Women’s Day Celebration

Come join ALGA’s Vic Branch in celebrating International Woman’s Day and help influence change in the contaminated land and groundwater industry.

ALGA’s Vic Branch International Women’s Day breakfast will be an opportunity to CELEBRATE, LEARN, and MARCH FORWARD:

Celebrate – This event will be an opportunity to celebrate the recent successes in the contaminated land and groundwater industry, including a look at how far we have come in equal gender rights and representation, challenges that have been overcome, and individual accomplishments. You’ll get a chance to hear personal experiences from professionals in the industry and to celebrate Brittany Jackson, Vic’s FIRST female licensed driller.

Learn – While there is a lot of celebrate, we still have a long way to go. Come along to learn about where we currently are as an industry, the reasons why we should continue to make changes, and the value of gender equality in the industry. Information from ALGA’s National Women in Contaminated Land and Groundwater Special Interest Group will be shared, giving a detailed look at women in the industry.

March Forward – The UN Women 2025 Theme for International Women’s Day is March Forward and this event will give you the opportunity to hear from front-line professionals who are influencing change daily and can help you take steps to accelerate action related to gender equality in the industry. Professionals who deal with gender equality issues will give straight talk, providing tips to overcoming unconscious bias and setting actions to influence change.

International Women’s Day belongs to all who care about women’s equality. Our goal is to have equal representation from all genders at the event; as we need everyone, together, to march forward to achieve gender parity.

This event will conclude by 10.30am

Your ticket includes a plated breakfast, complemented by a continental breakfast selection and coffee, tea, juices, and smoothies. You can enjoy this breakfast while seated at a round table, listening to the presentations.

If you want to join with your peers or organisation for this event, you can book a dedicated table with 8 seats. You can register your table directly through the registration button or by contacting events@landandgroundwater.com
