Brisbane Branch Event – A Night of PFAS

With the recent release of PFAS NEMP 3.0 guideline and upcoming changes for PFAS drinking water guideline by National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), we invite you to join us in hearing from our industry experts about their views and thoughts of how this changes PFAS management and assessment across industries.

Speakers and Topics:
Jady Jakins from Synergy Resource Management will talk about practical overview of how PFAS are impacting workplace safety and risk management, with insights drawn from Synergy’s on-the-ground experience. This presentation will cover effective strategies for managing PFAS in remediation project settings.

Bob Symons from Eurofins will be presenting about Total organofluorine (TOF/AOF/EOF) and NEMP 3.0 developments as well as the characterisation of PFAS in EoW pathways (biosolids, biochar and landfill leachate).

Therese Manning from EnRiskS will be touching on the recent releases of PFAS guidelines that have raised many questions about how we are setting guidelines now in Australia. Her presentation will provide some detailed assessment of the various new guidelines for PFAS that have been released recently to highlight the difficulties that we now encounter.

As usual, we welcome everyone to join in the discussion in our Q&A session following the presentations and have a great night for networking!
