Auckland Branch Student Event – How it Started and How it’s Going

Charting a career path is rarely straightforward — particularly in a field as dynamic and multidisciplinary as contaminated land. From shifting regulatory frameworks and evolving technical challenges to the need for cross-sector collaboration, professionals often encounter unexpected turns and opportunities along the way.

From diverse backgrounds and with varied educational and career experiences, three speakers will share honest reflections on how they are navigating their career paths within a complex and constantly evolving field. Their lessons learned along the way provide valuable insights into the range of roles and pathways available within the industry and how these contribute to the evolving landscape of contaminated land management in New Zealand. By hearing these stories, we deepen our collective understanding and enrich our professional community.

Whether you are a student exploring options, an early-career professional shaping your next steps, or an experienced practitioner seeking fresh perspectives, this session offers something for everyone.
