G. Mel Rowe attended Kingston University London, where he graduated in Physical and Organic Chemistry. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. He was formerly the Chief Chemist at Purolite Ion Exchange Resins UK and later served as Manager of Water at UOP Fluid Systems in San Diego, California. He worked as a Senior Consultant with Maunsell/AECOM in Australia and the Arabian Gulf and spent over 10 years as an Environmental Engineer for the Town of Port Hedland and Shire of East Pilbara. He is also a supporting member of the Pilbara Regional Council in Western Australia and the Manager of Rowcon Pty Ltd Consultants WA.
