Adelaide Branch Event – Vapour and Gas Assessment and Mitigation: Pitfalls and Best Practice

Join us for an exclusive industry event featuring two leading experts in vapour and gas assessment and mitigation. Our guest speakers will share their insights on common challenges and best practice when it comes to vapour sampling and risk assessment, as well as designing and constructing effective mitigation systems when unacceptable risks are identified.

Meet the Speakers:

Mark Chapman– Technical Director, AECOM (Adelaide)
With over 26 years of experience in contaminated site assessment, Mark will delve into vapour sampling and risk assessment, addressing key questions such as:

  • How do you navigate the challenges of indoor air sampling at private residences?
  • Are your data reliable?
  • How much data is enough?
  • Are your data appropriate to assess future land uses?
  • Are your modelling assumptions justifiable?

James Lucas –Technical Director, Core Environmental Projects (Melbourne)
With over 15 years of contaminated land experience across the UK and Australia, James will focus on vapour and gas risk mitigation system design and construction, tackling critical considerations including:

  • Selecting appropriate guidance: Are international guidelines suitable for Australian construction conditions?
  • Not all vapour and gas barriers are equal: How do you choose the right one for your site?
  • Construction Quality Assurance: What is it, who is responsible, and why is it crucial?

This is a must-attend event for professionals working in vapour and gas risk assessment and mitigation. Don’t miss the opportunity to gain valuable insights and connect with industry peers.
