Adelaide Branch Event – Artificial Intelligence – Balancing Opportunity, Risk and Responsibility

The fast evolving field of generative artificial intelligence presents both opportunities and challenges to those working in the site contamination industry.

Come and hear three insightful presentations focusing on different aspects of AI use:

Matthew O’Brien, founder of AI for Enviros, will showcase innovative ways that AI is being used to enable smarter, more effective environmental management, including AI image detection, pollution alert systems and habitat mapping tools.

Geoff Hopwood (SA EPA) will share whole of government and EPA perspectives on the responsible use of AI, including expectations in respect of the use of AI in the preparation of reports submitted to the EPA.

Kyra Reznikov (Finlaysons Lawyers) will discuss key legal issues in respect of AI use, including professional responsibility, insurance and confidentiality.

After the three presentations, there will be a panel discussion, with plenty of opportunity for Q&A.
