Sydney Branch Event - The Constitution vs the Waste Levy – it’s more than just the “vibe of it”
The very recent High Court Vanderstock v Victoria case has overturned 50 years of precedent in how states can impose taxes. Join us on 23 November for drinks and canapes at Norton Rose Fulbright to learn how this pivotal case will impact the fiscal autonomy of states and reduce their ability to change behaviours through pricing mechanisms.
Liz and Krista will unpack what this case may mean for the NSW Waste Levy and consider how perverse outcomes may be minimised as these issues are resolved.
Seize this opportunity to augment your understanding, engage with peers, and navigate the legal intricacies shaping our professional domain. Your presence will contribute to a vibrant, insightful professional dialogue.
Please note:Your ticket includes one complimentary drink and a selection of appetizers as this is not a formal dinner event.
