Strategies for Success: Progressing Effectively from Assessment - Management on a Major PFAS Project

This session will help you to develop pragmatic investigation and assessment strategies for PFAS.  RAAF Base East Sale is used as a case study example where a strategic approach allowed progress from assessment to management to efficiently achieved. 

About the presenters:

Michael Rehfisch is a Senior Principal Environmental Scientist with Senversa and is appointed as an Environmental Auditor (Contaminated Land) with the Victorian EPA with 22 years’ experience in the consulting and government sectors in Victoria and NSW. Michael has developed a broad range of expertise in land and groundwater environmental site assessment and remediation projects, including large infrastructure and renewal projects. Michael has been retained as witness in Parliamentary Inquiry and civil arbitration proceedings.

Katie Richardson is Senversa’s National Risk Assessment Practice Leader.  She has 15 years’ experience in the assessment of risk to human health and the environment, including extensive recent experience in the development of pragmatic strategies for the assessment of PFAS contamination. Katie has a particular interest in using risk assessment from the earliest phases of a project to develop an efficient strategy for closing out contamination issues at a site, and reaching the client’s overall end goal.
