Following the Evidence: Using Environmental Forensics to Solve Environmental Challenges
Environmental forensics is the application of a range of environmental techniques to solve an environmental 'crime' or contamination event. This talk will cover some key areas of environmental forensics, including how to structure an investigation, knowing what tools to use and how to piece it all together.
About the presenter:
Dr Paul Harvey is an Environmental Scientist and Environmental Chemist who currently owns Environmental Science Solutions. He has 10 years’ experience in the environmental industry with 7 years' in contaminated land and environmental assessments. Dr Harvey has been the NSW Division Chair for the Geological Society of Australia, has contributed to state and federal discussions on environmental legislation and has led the way in developing a toolkit for environmental forensics in Australia. Dr Harvey has worked around the world on many projects that have employed a forensic approach to untangling environmental challenges.
