Contaminated Site Safety Certificate

Contaminated Site Safety Certificate (CSSC)

ALGA and WasteMINZ recognised the need for practitioners to be cognisant of the range of health and safety risks associated with site contamination investigations, and have partnered in New Zealand with Vertical Horizonz, an ISO9001:2015 Certificated, NZQA and ASQA accredited training organisation, to deliver the Contaminated Site Safety Certificate (CSSC).

The CSSC has been designed to enable employers to meet their duties as a PCBU for personnel who engage in works on contaminated sites. Specifically, clause 36(3)(f) of the Act, the requirements of regulation 9 and 17(2) of the Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016, and regulation 4.5 of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.
