CEO Address
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our latest edition of e-cronicle, themed “Innovation and Technology.” It feels appropriate to use this edition to share our recently launched e-cronicle Podcasts as we look to diversify how we provide content to our members. We are keen to receive your feedback on the podcasts, and please reach out if you are interested in being involved in a future edition.
Over the past two months, it has been amazing to deliver the PFAS Symposium and Perth Conference. We also managed to deliver a joint webinar with COMMON FORUM for our regulators and government agency representatives, on Contaminated Land Management Regulation across Europe and Australasia.
We are incredibly thankful for the support provided by the industry for all of these events, including the organising committees, speakers, delegates, and sponsors. Our session in Perth on the use of Artificial Intelligence explored the potential role techn
ology has to play across the industry. I have no doubt that this will be a key theme in many future industry events.

Below you will find a variety of articles related to innovation in the contaminated land and groundwater industry, along with a special tribute to Peter Nadebaum, who is retiring from GHD.
Looking ahead, keep an eye out for our FY25 calendar and the launch of the ALGA Awards to be held in Sydney on 21 November 2024.
We are also looking for your feedback! If you haven’t responded already, please take the time to complete our annual survey. Pictured above: Matthew Potter and Beau Miles at Perth Regional Land and Groundwater Conference.
