Global Perspectives

CEO Welcome Address

Firstly, I would like to welcome Emmylou Cooke from Senversa to the Board and extend my thanks to Krista MacPherson from Norton Rose Fulbright, who stepped down this year. I look forward to working with Emmylou and the other Directors as they guide the Association’s Vision and Purpose in the coming year.

As I reflect on this edition of e-cronicle, themed “Global Perspectives,” I am convinced that our industry truly punches above its weight on the global stage. While there is always much to learn from our international counterparts, we also have a wealth of experience to offer in terms of research, policy, and practical applications. The high calibre of our 2024 Award Finalists is a testament to this.

We are certainly in the midst of the conference season, having just delivered another outstanding event in New Zealand. Over the past two months, our members have also actively participated in RemTech Europe, the RemTech Sustainathon, CRC CleanUp, a Circular Economy workshop with NICOLE Latin America, and a joint regulator webinar with the Common Forum. Thank you for your continued engagement and participation.

Collaboration is key to industry success. I am particularly proud of the connections we have established with like-minded Associations, many of which have been fostered through the global presence of our Corporate Partners. As an Association, we will continue to nurture these relationships, with the hope that they will deliver mutually beneficial outcomes for the industry.

For those who have not yet explored our new website and member resource centre, I encourage you to take the time to experience the new design and enhanced features. I am incredibly proud of the hard work our team has put into improving your online experience and engagement.

I hope you enjoy this edition of
e-cronicle.

Matt.
