EcologyDataBank.com – An Educational Treasure Just Launched for Australia’s Remediation Sector

Produced by Dr Kate Hughes, EcologyDataBank.com fills a long-standing gap in Australia’s remediation history. Bringing together oral histories, documentary material, and written case studies, this growing library captures the stories, records, challenges, and progress of our sector.

“The Australian remediation industry’s contribution to Earth Healing is something to be proud of. Nothing is ever perfect, not everyone adheres to high standards but overall, our industry does contribute to improving environmental conditions.

But I don’t think people understand what the industry does and this is why I have created the Ecology Data Bank website. The aim is to make a place where people can go to better understand what remediation is and why it must play a key role in the future, when climate change will shift contaminant migration pathways, unsettle landfills, compromise mining waste retention etc.

Everyone is busy and you might not have time…but go to Case Study 1, scroll down to Oral Histories. Take your pick and listen as you drive.”
